The Beach

The beach is an inshore beach with white sand, rather than the pink sand of the South Shore beaches. You will see many longtails, herons, fish and turtles while swimming from the beach.

Please bring beach shoes. Ours is a quiet beach off Mangrove Bay rather than a South Shore surf beach, and there can be sharp rocks, particularly when the sand moves.

My personal preference is to swim at high tide. The snorkelling around the rocks and reefs is excellent – the rocks close to shore are teeming with fish, and turtles often cruise around you.

The beach is shared by all three units; Watford Studio II guests can reach it by the wooden stairs in the middle. There are chairs, umbrellas and various flotation devices on the beach that you are welcome to use.

Please keep the kayak, paddle boards and paddles above the high-water mark when you are not using them, so they don't float away!

Watford Sports Club

Our neighbouring club is open on Friday evenings, and is home to a snooker team. Guests are welcome to drop in.
